Join NW Tas for Clean Oceans on South Burnie Beach, 11am on Saturday 15 March, to oppose the proposed salmon farm trial, expansion and sardine harvesting in Bass Strait.
An open invitation is extended to all who knew Mick to come together for a final farewell and paddle out at Clifton Beach, 10 am Sunday 23 February.
Friends of the Bays presents a public meeting on Saturday 22 February to protest against salmon farming in Storm Bay.
There will be a community meeting in Burnie Town Hall, 1pm on Sunday 16 February to discuss the proposed salmon farm trial, expansion and sardine harvesting in Bass Strait. The Blue Economy CRC (funded by Federal and State governments and the salmon industry) is trialling salmon pens 12km off Burnie.
Don't miss the Dodgey Bay Watch beach rally, 3pm Saturday 1 February at Carlton Beach, to protect Frederick Henry and Norfolk Bays from the polluting effects of the expansion of fish farms near our local waterways. NOFF is proud to support this event.
